Not only can I find some great photos using Flickr, but now I know how to put them into a slideshow. I chose to do mine on Lewis and Clark since I teach about their expedition in my fifth grade social studies class. I also met an member of the Osage Indian Tribe this summer who told me a lot about how Lewis and Clark impacted his nation, so I am anxious to share that information with my students this year. I chose my pictures from creative commons and made sure I credited each photographer on my wiki space. I used rockyou.com since it had some interesting options that I liked when making my slideshow. I am excited about making more slideshows for my classroom and having my students do so also.

Janice, I enjoyed your slideshow about Lewis and Clark. What an innovative way to share information with students. They would love to create a slideshow. I also enjoy using Photostory to record the students poetry and book reports. I hope to be able to incorporate slideshows into my teaching next year. We will have to collaborate on using the tools we have learned this summer.
